One process, not a transformation

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The pitch, when you finally get to it, should be smaller than you think.

Here is the mistake almost everyone makes. They offer a transformation. Rethink your whole operation. Become AI-enabled. Redesign how you work.

To a coach with a full diary and a consultant mid-delivery, that is not an offer. It is another project, and they are already the bottleneck in every project they have.

So offer one process.

Proposal drafting. Turning discovery call notes into a follow-up. Product descriptions across a whole catalogue. The enquiry that comes in at ten at night and gets answered at nine the next morning.

Narrow, visible, and finished inside a fortnight, with nothing for them to learn.

Then be honest about the size of the result. A few hours a week back. That sounds like nothing written down, and it does not sound like nothing when it is your week.

One more thing about the pitch itself. Ask for their read, not their time.

“You are closer to this than most people I speak to, so I would value your view on it. Open to a brief exchange here?”

That is a peer asking a peer. Nobody has ever felt sold to by someone who wanted their opinion.

Small offer. Honest number. Low friction. That is the whole thing.
